You should be fine. As long you nailed all of the joist hangers. In MI we have to use 6x6 posts in the ground.

I went with ledger strips instead of hangers but still ran 4x 16d toe nails in each joist end , and 3x 10ds in the ledger at each joist end. I also re-nailed all the existing joists.
At certain heights I would have gone 6x6 but it’s not required in NC, no frost issues and no snow loading so the only concern is live deck load. I have 10 4x4 footers, plus the ledger connection to the house, plus 4 6x6 pergola posts tied into the joists with ledger screws that will take load (all on cement footers minimum 14" round, some on 16"+). Walking on the joists it feels unbelievably solid. It is *slightly* overbuilt per code but that’s the way I do things
